Teaching means, above all, learning. This fruitful process of give and take allows us to teach others what we have learned from others, thus obtaining fresh resources to be fed back into an on-going exchange.

The etymology of the term “education” takes us back to the Latin e-ducere: literally, “to bring out”, to release, bring to the light something that is hidden from view. Education is a process aimed at reawakening and galvanising the knowledge the learner already possesses.

An essential element in this process for the e-ducator is maieutics (from the Greek maieutikè tékhnē – maîa, “mother” and tékhnē, “art”), in the sense of exercising a skill: that of the midwife whose task is to “give birth” to a new being.

It is on this principle that our method is founded, and our learning process takes place in the same way, creating exactly that relationship between teacher and student.
